The Creation of the Orcs:

When Kurzal’s worship began to wane, he sought to create a people that he might call his own. Kurzal climbed a mountain deep in the astral plane. There he fasted and meditated. While he did so he was bothered by no beasts and drank only water and ate no food. After countless days, he finally rose. Slitting open his belly, Kurzal removed a rock. Splitting it open, the first orcs were born. Violent, crude and uninterested in little but fighting, feasting and epic poems; the orcs were cast out from cities after the second great war, but were perfect in the eyes of Kurzal.
