God of Chaos, The Destroyer

The Birth of Jurdar:

When Kurzal, Iptar and Vichma first fully came to the fore, the other Gods were anxious at first, then, outright hostile. They believed that one of their own had defied the pact and endangered them all by bringing new Gods into the universe. They did not understand the innate power of Ianis was enough to bring forth new Gods. Accusations and threats flew and soon after Ianis was consumed by war. The tales of the Second Great War could fill several tomes, but only one event became truly significant. Growing at the heart of Ianis was a foul, terrible energy. Feeding on the conflict of the war on Ianis and the destruction the Gods wrought, Jurdar grew fat, powerful and hungry.

The sudden birth of Jurdar through the surface of Ianis is to the date the single most cataclysmic event to take place in the world’s history. Millions were killed instantly and the landscape was ripped asunder as Jurdar burst through what was once Shallor and is now the Shattered Sea. Jurdar raged and destroyed countless lives and cities before the Gods put aside their differences to combat him. Combining their power they banished him to outside of the Astral Plane, far away from Ianis which he hungered to destroy. Jurdar now roams outside of the Astral Plane, constantly seeking a way to return.

Appearance:

Accounts of what Jurdar actually appears as are incredibly scarce. Some describe a horrific, 300ft tall being of fire, others a roiling black void while some accounts tell of a writhing, poisonous mass of snakes. What all accounts agree on however is that Jurdar’s appearance was a portent of incredible disaster and struck fear and hopelessness in the hearts of all mortals.

Temperament:

Jurdar was born from the distrust and malice of the gods towards each other. He wishes for nothing more than to return to Ianis and destroy it utterly, leaving no trace. He is merciless and patient however and is happy to have Ianis destroy itself and will occasionally attempt to influence mortals into sowing destruction and chaos.

Worship:

Nonexistent and the few rare cases it has existed, purged from the world with extreme prejudice. Over the years there have been a few, isolated cults to Jurdar. Every time they appear, destruction is sure to follow.
